Hoffmann was born in Germany grew up in England, Switzerland and on the French Riviera, making him fluent in 4 languages.
After finishing high school in Germany, he moved to Zurich, Switzerland where he pursued a degree in International Business.
In 1999 he opened GolfAndVillas.com, a Real Estate brokerage near Cannes, on the French Riviera which he sold in 2006 with over 70 listings. After having spent many months on vacation in Miami, FL he witnessed its Real Estate boom and decided to be a part of it. He hired a manager to oversee his French brokerage and then in 2003 moved to Miami to found Estates And Condos.
Towards the middle of 2005 he foresaw the collapse of the south Florida real estate market and started to search for solid real estate markets in the US. Early 2006, after identifying the Charlotte Real Estate market as a prime candidate with its strong econonomy and steady real estate market, he moved to the Lake Norman area just north of Charlotte to open a branch of Estates And Condos Realty. Hoffmann, who also builds real estate and e-commerce websites has been doing the search engine optimization to the company websites himself yielding great results.
He also founded the flat fee real estate brokerage, 389Listing which he sold at the end of 2008.
